The Organization
Kajukembo Mixed Martial-arts Association™ (KMMA) was founded by Michael D. Park, 8th degree master of Kempo Karate and traditional Jujutsu as an expression of his life-long experience in mixed martial arts. He was also promoted to 7th degree "Professor" by Senior Grandmaster Alii-Don Nahoolewa. His lineage makes him a second and now third generation Ohana member under Sijo-Adriano D. Emperado through the direct teachings of two native Hawaiians in grandmaster James Kaleohano Roberts Sr. and senior-grandmaster Alii-Don Nahoolewa. SGM Nahoolewa was the first black belt under great-grandmaster Aleju Reyes Sr. and the chairman of the American Kajukembo Association.

The ever improving KMMA Kajukembo as taught in the Park School is one of the few "kempo karate" organizations world-wide that acknowledges the influence and actively promotes traditional jujutsu and mixed martial art aspects of our system. The association began with the assistance of great-grandmaster Richard Peralta (now deceased) and continues to evolve under the direct supervision of senior-grandmaster Alii-Don Nahoolewa.

Plano, Texas Mixed Martial Arts
The "Park School" was first in Plano beginning in 1974 and in continuous operation ever since. The strategically located headquarters in Texas allows for better service to our nationwide members who in the past have had to travel to the east or west coasts or even Hawaii for advanced instructions and fellowship with their "bruddas" in kempo karate. The association offers traditional (old school) and innovative new instruction in the original hard style founded in 1947 by Sijo-Adriano D. Emperado. This knowledge has been preserved and passed down through a prestigious lineage of masters, professors and grandmasters.

Seminars and Special Training
Each year in Dallas, Texas the KMMA / Park School sponsors a seminar with visiting grandmasters. This event is a great time to see dynamic demonstrations and to learn new skills and applications of familiar technique. A special local seminar taught by master professor Park is held on the first Saturday of each month. Click on the events calendar or contact us to get more complete information.
