Start Training Anytime
Have you ever thought about becoming a "black belt" in the martial arts? It's not too late. Most of our students are adults and you can start classes in Plano, Texas anytime in a safe, fun environment. No special acrobatic skills or unusual flexibility is required to be good at Kajukembo. Kajukembo is America's first mixed martial art (MMA) and the training emphasis is on personal self-defense and not sport or competition. You never know when you will need what Kajukembo can teach you and besides the class is a lot of fun!

The Organization
Kajukembo Self-Defense Concepts (KSDC) was founded by Michael D. Park, 8th degree master of Kempo Jujutsu as an expression of his life-long experience in mixed martial arts and especially the "root styles" of Kajukembo to include Karate (Tang Soo Do) and traditional Jujutsu. As Master Park continues to re-connect with his Kajukembo family he qualifies as a second and now third generation Ohana member under Sijo Adriano Emperado through the direct lineage of two native Hawaiians, grandmaster James K. Roberts Sr. (Ret.) and senior grandmaster Alii Don Nahoolewa who was the first black belt under great grandmaster Aleju Reyes Sr. The ever improving KSDC Kajukembo as taught in the Park School is one of the few "kempo karate" organizations world-wide that acknowledges the influence and actively promotes traditional jujutsu aspects of our art. The association began in 2004 with permission from great grandmaster Richard Peralta (now deceased) and continues to evolve under the direct supervision of senior grandmaster Alii Don Nahoolewa, founder and chairman of the American Kajukembo Association.

The strategically located headquarters in Dallas, (Plano) Texas allows better service to our nationwide members who in the past have had to travel to the east or west coasts or even Hawaii for advanced instructions and fellowship with their "bruddas" in kajukembo. The association offers traditional (old school) and innovative new instruction in the original hard style or "kempo karate" as founded in 1947 by Sijo Adriano D. Emperado. This knowledge has been preserved and passed down through the prestigious lineage of great grandmaster Aleju Reyes Sr, to our senior grandmaster (Alii) Don Nahoolewa.

KSDC Management
Communication in any large organization is critical to continued success. Recognizing this fact, all registered members of KSDC have an opportunity for their input to be considered by the board of directors. Chief instructors (senior black belts) of each licensed school are really the first line of respected leaders within KSDC. The founder of Kajukembo Self-Defense Concepts also serves as the chairman of the board (for life) and as active members in his executive council of advisors you will monitor all association policies and decisions to ensure the majority in interest are well served.
